Tiitoune Art · henna artist in Réunion (974)

Welcome. I'm Tiitoune, a henna artist in Réunion (974) for more than 10 years. I have looked after more than 3,800 clients, for wedding appointments and classes: beginners, brides, mums passing the tradition on to their daughters, women celebrating Eid. Tiitoune is the name my loved ones have always called me.

My background as a henna artist

I'm a henna artist based in Réunion, with over ten years of practice behind me. I work with natural henna, free from PPD, prepared by hand in Saint-Denis, and I apply Comorian and Mahorais designs as well as Tamil mehndi: dense geometry, thick bands at the centre of the palm, that characteristic dark brown.

Since 2014, I have also specialised in Tamil, Indian and North African bridal henna, through learning, observation and practice. I have looked after hundreds of brides from all these traditions in Réunion. My practice is built in the field. My respect for each tradition is total.

I started in my kitchen, with a friend who told me "your henna has something different about it". Then came the first paying client. Then the first brides. Then the online shop, with clients in mainland France and Mayotte ordering online.

How I make my henna in Saint-Denis (974)

Today I prepare my paste by hand in Saint-Denis, and the cones are rolled by hand here in Réunion. Always fresh paste. No industrial paste, no PPD, no shortcuts. Just pure Lawsonia inermis, selected in India, and more than 10 years of know-how as a henna artist.

I also come to you, by appointment, during the day: Tamil, Comorian and North African weddings, Eid henna. Book through my Bookin Beautiful page.

The values of Tiitoune Art

  • No PPD: I make no compromise on the ingredients. If a cone promises intense black in 30 minutes, there is PPD in it. Not with me. Never.
  • Handmade in Réunion: no factory, no imported batch, no paste sitting in transit for 6 months. Every cone is rolled by hand in Réunion.
  • Respect for traditions: I honour the Tamil, Mahorais, Comorian and North African traditions. Henna is not an Insta trend, it is a heritage. My respectful approach to each culture comes from more than 10 years of practice and listening.
  • Real support: I write every article myself and answer every DM myself. You write to me, and I'm the one who replies.

Who I work for

You are Mahorais, Comorian, Tamil, North African, Creole or from mainland France, and you want real henna. You are getting married this season or preparing for Eid. You are a beginner and you want to learn without making a mess of it. You are a Tiitounette.

The Tiitounette community grows every month on Instagram, TikTok and in my DMs. It's a family, not an audience.
